Questions for LOTF Chapter 2

  1. Why did the older boys not keep up with the fire?
  2. Why would the boy wonder from the group after he saw a beast? Wouldn’t he be afraid of the beast and stay with the group?
  3. Why did the boys not look for the missing boy?
  4. Is Ralph a good leader and is he making good decisions?
  5. Are Jack and Ralph getting along?

    2. The child might of thought that the beast could be in the campsite and the child is trying to get away from it

    3. Maybe the boys did not look for the missing boy because maybe they did not like him or who knows they might have more food.

    3. The older originally did not believe the little boy about a beast that he saw. That alone created a tender relationship based on anger and resentment. This would partially dilute the desire to go look for someone who you think is young and foolish.
